Mom and dad get out your video camera, microphone and sketch pad! Your first graders is learning to be a movie star! This past month we've completed a brilliant movie masterpiece about woodland mammals. As a class we talked about and produced a list of different types of woodland mammals. Students were able to choose between reading or writing a narrative, or drawing a mammal. Students spent a lot of time and effort and worked collaboratively during the entire project. Their movies were superb! Nice job! Sometimes their are opportunities for free-choice during computer time, and this year Math Blaster has been the "hot" choice in the computer lab. Our first graders are now becoming great mathematicians through Knowledge Adventure's Math Blaster the Master the Basics. They are learning to add and subtract by collecting numbers and building their answers to given problems. This can be downloaded from the Knowledge Adventure website for $24.99 for immediate play. It's action packed and fun!
